File copying over lan was good at 500 mbps up and down. I installed Owncloud (bitnami version) on docker through Portainer and it runs fast. Will NC run without a separate db? Doesn't it at least need mysql or mariadb to run?.Even though there are tons of docker scripts on the internet, which one works good? Some have mariadb, some don't or some have redis etc.Why is NC 20 slower (on lan and through the web) than OC 10? In general like loading folders or opening gallery etc.I run NC through docker, on debian host (OMV5) with 1 Gbps lan and 100 mbps internet. You can make it more complex by using an other database instead of the built-in sqlite database.Ĭheck out their Docker image's Description for more information: You should now be able to reach Nextcloud. ( sudo is not necessary if your user is in the docker group). Then start up Docker with sudo docker-compose up -d. Replace /mnt/storage/next-cloud with a path of your choosing. The volumes section is optional but I recommend doing it anyway so you can access, edit and backup the data easily without Docker. Replace 8888 with the port of your own choosing. Then create a directory somewhere and place a docker-compose.yml in it and paste the following content: version: '3.6' I'm running Nextcloud on my Raspberry Pi with Docker but the procedure is the same on every Linux system.
